Premeditated disappointments? A fresh take on 2025...

Why I'm ditching resolutions for something more powerful this year...

A Note From Colleen

Hi, friends!

Happy 2025! I have a good feeling about this year. After taking the last few weeks of 2024 off, I've had time to reflect. While I don't do New Year's Resolutions (which I lovingly call "premeditated disappointments"), I've chosen two words to guide me through 2025: Intentional and Realistic.

Intentional reflects my desire for simplicity and purposeful action. It's about deliberately choosing what deserves my focus to ensure I'm working towards my primary goals. This mindset naturally leads me to my second word...

Realistic. Let's be honest - many of us (especially women) often act as if we can bend the laws of physics, cramming more into 24 hours than humanly possible. I'm guilty of this, too.

This year, I'm approaching things differently.

I'm committed to setting realistic goals, managing my efforts, and creating achievable To-Do lists. This doesn't mean I'm lowering my ambitions - I'm still reaching for the stars. I'm just choosing a more doable path that prevents burnout, reduces overwhelm, and transforms that nagging sense of failure into measured progress.

Cheers,

2025: ONE FOCUS, THREE PROJECTS

This year is laser-focused on one thing: The 3rd Act - and I say "our" because I know we'll figure this out together.

My core mission has three components:

  1. Define what our 3rd Act should feel and look like

  2. Discover who we are now and who we want to become

  3. Create income streams that align with our values and fund this exciting chapter

To bring this vision to life, I'm concentrating on three key projects:

1. The 3rd Act Collective An online membership community where we uncover your current identity, identify your expertise, and leverage it to generate income online. Doors are now open! Our first Learning Lab this week tackles social media confidence.

2. The 3rd Act Handbook (Expected publication: January/February) Think Girl Scout handbook, but for our next chapter. This practical guide will cover:

  • Building online income streams

  • Exploring current passions and interests

  • Designing your ideal lifestyle (downsizing, living options)

  • Developing a growth mindset

  • Setting intentional goals

  • Breaking through indecision into action

3. The Gumption Gazette While the name might evolve to better align with our 3rd Act focus (decision pending at our one-year anniversary in February), our mission remains constant: sharing stories, insights, and practical guidance on crafting a fulfilling 3rd Act and generating income on your terms.

I feel a lot of excitement about 2025. I feel a lot of transformation is coming our way. With these three focused projects and a realistic approach, everything feels both inspiring and achievable.

I'm grateful you're joining me on this journey. Together, we'll go farther and achieve more than we ever could alone.

I’m considering doing an AI workshop soon. Interested? HIT REPLY and let me know.
